Prescription for Heartache

Among many things suggested, Dr. Norman suggests that we need to giving way to grief. When you give way to grief, you release the emotions and feelings that could cause you stress.

With so much change happening around us, we need to own up to the impact of that on us. In some cases we need to grieve. I know that for many years, I found it difficult to express my grief through the outpouring of tears and simply sobbing. But allowing yourself to do that, is to allow yourself to overcome heartache.

In this current climate, you might have lost your job, had to terminate people’s employment, know someone in both those categories. I have been in all three positions in my working life and let me say, the pain and heartache is there. The best thing you can do is help them grieve. Two ears, one mouth principle. Listen twice as much as you speak, but be there for someone.
